Intstrumental for Piano, Violin and Flute by Heidi S. Beverlin and Elspeth Turner

Sometimes it's hard to find appropriate instrumental music that is also stimulating and inspiring for sacrament or other church meetings. This arrangement was born as a group of friends and I were messing around trying to find something interesting and different to play for a stake conference musical number that wasn't hum drum.
This arrangement is not overly complicated and will appeal to many ability levels. It moves and energizes with a driving piano part. After having played it in a number of meetings, I have had people remark that they wanted to jump up and clap because they were so inspried. (But, we all know that is a no no in The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints).
Reverent music does not have to be slow or soft. I know that members of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints often equate soft and slow to reverence. I do think there is a time in a place for soft and slow. But our meetings can also be a place of joy and happiness and engagement. We can be jubilant and respectful at the same time.

Like great religious architecture, music that reflects the grander and awe of our Savior and moves people to a deeper love and appreciation of Him is always appropriate.
